I’ve always known I’ve wanted to be an interior designer; design is what inspires me and has for as long as I can remember. In fact, as a child, I loved drawing houses and doodling design ideas. This is the reason why I really did everything to pursue this dream.
I completed my design education at the Design Institute of San Diego, where I acquired a BA of Fine Arts in Interior Design. This honed me in the craft and served as my stepping stone in the interior design profession. When I graduated, I immediately jumped into the design world, consulting with incredible designers throughout California, such as Jay Jeffers, Steven Miller, Chris Sorensen, Heidi Toll, Velvet Hammerschmidt, Kimberly Rider , Williams Sonoma, Inc., and most currently Kassin Laverty with Interior Design Fair. I feel very fortunate to have been able to work with the best designers in the industry, some of whom served as my mentors in further honing my craft.
As I continued to keep active in my contract work, there was a huge demand for clients requesting me as their lead designer. This is the reason why in 2007, I established em design. This design studio is the realization of my dreams as I am now able to pursue the designs that I want and help clients realize their visions for their homes and establishments. Alongside the growth of my design business I, more importantly, took on the new role of motherhood. With my two young children, Aden & Isabel, a huge inspiration to me, I am approaching my projects with a new outlook.
My design background, as well as my real life experience of living with design and raising children, allow me to bring realistic and livable solutions to projects that are both stylish and functional for an active household.
